Caring Creatively
Nurses With Heart is excited to add another home health hint to our video blog – every week we will be posting a short video related to staying safe and healthy at home. This week we discuss getting creative regarding activities for people with dementia.
Dementia impairs behavior, memory, and thought processes. While memory loss may start out mild in early stages, the disease may worsen over time. This can result in restriction of a person’s ability to go about regular skills such as self-care and hobbies. Brain stimulating activities for individuals can help recall memories, decrease anxiety, and encourage self-expression. Today’s video discusses what activities best suit people with dementia.
Thanks for watching!
