Hello, I’m Carolyn Moore! I am the Co-Founder of Nurses With Heart Home Care.
Co-Founder and CEO
Prior to co-founding Nurses With Heart, CEO Carolyn Moore served as Director of Programs for the Alzheimer’s Association in El Paso, Texas. In this role, she oversaw educational and information programs for sixty-five percent of Texas and became well-versed in the complexities of caring for seniors with dementia. This knowledge inspired her to refocus her energy on providing a more personalized approach to in-home health services.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Moore worked for the City of El Paso Economic Development Department and served as director of a women’s center focused on immigrants. She holds a BS in Psychology with a minor in Social Work from the University of Calgary, a BA in Anthropology from the University of Western Ontario and a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Texas at El Paso.
Hello, I’m Elais Ponton! I am your Chief Nursing Officer.
Co-Founder and CNO
Chief Nursing Officer, Elais Ponton has worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) in high acuity hospital settings, a community hospice and a home health agency focused on mental health conditions. These diverse experiences gave her first-hand exposure to what conventional care looks like and eventually led her to join forces with Carolyn Moore to create a more positive and nurturing alternative in Nurses With Heart.
A member of the Santa Fe Maternal and Child Health Planning Council, Ms. Ponton has contributed to research focused on adult and infant hearing issues. She holds a BA in Psychology and Anthropology from the University of British Columbia and a BS in Nursing from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, where she specialized in home health care and wound care.
